She was captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams that were winners in their respective team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she was awarded gold medals in floor and team competitions and also the bronze medal on the balance beam, which made her the most decorated American gymnast to compete at the Games. Morgan was born on July 2, 1989 , to Pamela Morgan and Michael Morgan. Morgan, along with her sisters Jeni and Jeri were raised in Diamond Bar, Los Angeles. Morgan was a fan of many sports as a child, but only started to play soccer when she was 14 years old. Then she became a member of the Cypress Elite club team, winning the Coast Soccer League under-16 championship and finishing third in the bracket for under-19 players. Morgan continued to hone her soccer skills at Diamond Bar High School. She was named an All-American Athlete by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). She was also a participant of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) regional and state divisions. Morgan continued her soccer career at UC Berkeley.
