Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell is an American chef television personality and an instructor from the Institute of Culinary Education. Anne Burrell. Burrell hosts of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network, as well as the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her famous spiky blonde hair and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides straightforward and simple methods for cooks at home. Chef Burrell has worked and studied at the top New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the culinary landscape of Italy. While growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food from a young age. After earning an English and Communication degree from Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the industry of restaurants by registering at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was a wonderful opportunity for me. It was impossible to take enough out of the experience. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. While in Italy, Chef Burrell developed an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food. It had a significant impact on how she views food. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that brightens up the lives of kids who struggle. She also is an Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Celebrity Advocate where she has a mission to raise awareness for juvenile diabetics. She is a frequent guest to speak at conferences and tours throughout the United States to mentor others in her job. Anne has said throughout her culinary career she's grateful to have the opportunity to share with others what is most important for her.
